Recycling unavoidable waste
At Broxton, all waste streams, such as sheet skeletons, metal chippings, and cardboard, are segregated and recycled using approved recycling channels. We’ve also moved to energy efficient air hand dryers, saving 10,000 paper towels per month going to waste.
Reducing energy consumption
Despite operating energy intensive processes, there are always ways to reduce consumption. Moving to energy efficient lighting and machinery, reducing heat cycles in paint, and reusing heat from machines rather than burning gas all helps.
Using green energy
Broxton utilizes zero carbon electricity to significantly reduce its environmental impact. This electricity is generated through a combination of nuclear power and various renewable sources, including wind, solar, hydro, and biomass. By harnessing these sustainable energy options, Broxton not only minimizes carbon emissions but also supports a cleaner and greener future.
